Our expertise is in diagnosing and surgically treating disorders of the head and neck. These include benign and cancerous lumps and bumps, thyroid and parathyroid problems, salivary gland conditions, voice and swallowing troubles, and skin lesion removal and reconstruction.

We also have state-of-the-art equipment to accurately diagnose your voice problems. Our physicians head and neck associates have partnered with a group of speech-language pathologists at Advance Therapy of Dothan. These therapists have specialized training and a genuine interest in voice problems. The video stroboscope technology is performed in our office and allows us to record and analyze a magnified image of the larynx (voice box) which is useful for diagnosis and treatment of many voice disorders

Common Head and Neck Procedures

Tonsillectomy

If your tonsils are overcome by chronic infections, or when their enlargement blocks breathing, the tonsils and/or adenoids may need to be removed. The operation takes about 30 minutes.

Thyroidectomy

The operation removes the lobe of the thyroid gland containing the lump and possibly the isthmus.
